Eight of the straps feature a semi-matte finish while a further three are presented with a gloss finish designed to work for both men and women.
The introduction of official coloured straps is a new development from the brand, designed to complement its range of minimalist watch designs with ‘lively, fresh and versatile’ accessories.
Semi-matte straps with matching cotton stitching are available in white, red, green, blue, pink, Bordeaux, orange and yellow while gloss straps, achieved through hand polishing using special agate stones, are available in red, dark pink and violet. The gloss straps feature contrasting stitching.
The alligator leather used conforms to the TEC (Toutes Écailles Carrées: rectangular scales only) and comes only from monitored farms in Louisiana in the United States, which comply with the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) agreed in Washington DC in the 1970s.
A rembordé manufacturing technique means that the upper leather is accurately folded and sealed round the edges of the strap, providing greater resistance to creasing and wear.
The new coloured straps in alligator are available for the Radiomir 1940 (diameter 42mm), Luminor 1950 (42mm) and Luminor (40mm).
