“Designing the award was an honor that would be impossible to pass up,” said Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Creative Director, Chopard. “These awards are closely aligned with our values at Chopard, especially with the Journey to Sustainable Luxury and the celebration of the artisans involved in all levels of our supply chains. It was only right that the statuette should reflect the values at the heart of the event.”

“The Green Carpet Fashion Awards, Italia will shine a spotlight on the people behind the scenes in the fashion industry, celebrating the talent of artisan mills and Italian innovation. Chopard has been working for many years on supporting and protecting the people in their supply chains – which made them a perfect partner to produce the awards (from the Fairmined gold of course!)”. “It’s wonderful having Chopard as a partner of our event, together with Livia, who does incredible work for sustainability with Eco-Age. We are very proud to launch this project that involves all the associates of CNMI, because sustainability is one of the key pillars of our strategy. This is the first edition of the Green Carpet Fashion Awards and it represents the energy of the beginning of a journey that we hope that be long and productive. The pomegranate and the woman featured in the award epitomize the symbol of the beginning of everything”, Carlo Capasa, Chairman, CNMI.

Explaining the theme of the evening Patrick Kinmonth said,
“When looking for something that might lend an appropriate poetry, symbolism, and beauty to The Green Carpet Fashion Awards, Italia, we arrived at the idea of a pomegranate. Some believe it to be the fruit of knowledge in the garden of Eden, while others praise it for its diverse uses…. from permanent black ink, thanks to its tannin-rich skin, to the medicinal properties of its peel, pulp, and seeds. For us, it represents imaginative abundance together with indisputable beauty, inventive usefulness and sustainability”.
