The two new co-designed joaillerie lines will launch in summer 2017

Geneva, Switzerland (April 7, 2017) – Today, Swiss luxury jewelry and watch Maison, Chopard announced a collaboration with global superstar, Rihanna.  As a style icon known for her bold and modern choices, the RIHANNA ♥ CHOPARD collections capture her unique vision and spirit.  Rihanna and Chopard Co-President and Creative Director, Caroline Scheufele, worked closely together to combine their creativity and passion to develop Haute Joaillerie and Joaillerie collections that blend urban chic with classic glamour.

“I have always been in love with Chopard’s exquisite jewelry, so to actually design collections with them is something I still can’t believe,” says Rihanna.  “It was a really incredible process and I learned so much! I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”

RIHANNA ♥ CHOPARD Haute Joaillerie Collection

The love story between Rihanna and Chopard has been developing on red carpets all over the world throughout the last few years.  Now, this bedazzling duo has partnered to push Haute Joaillerie beyond conventional limits to create a modern collection inspired by Rihanna’s island roots – the lush gardens of Barbados and the electricity of Carnival.

This vibrant collection will debut in May 2017 to help commemorate the 70^th anniversary of the most spectacular red carpet in the world, the Festival de Cannes, and celebrate Chopard’s 20^th year as the official partner of the Cannes Film Festival.  However, Rihanna has already been giving fans a sneak peek of the capsule collection.  At the recent Grammy Awards, she dazzled in a one-of-a-kind pair of floral inspired multi-colored chandelier earrings and marquise-cut diamond solitaire ring.  On the March 2017 cover of Harper’s Bazaar, Rihanna sparkled in a pair of transformable diamond earrings from the collection.

RIHANNA ♥ CHOPARD Joaillerie Collection

Inspired by her effortless confidence infused with strength, the limited edition RIHANNA ♥ CHOPARD Joaillerie Collection is defined by minimalist geometry and sharp, clean lines.  A synergy of urban modernism and pure design gives Chopard’s classic Ice Cube shape a powerful sense of self and introduces new designs and colored ceramic into the line.

Linear rectangular motifs link frosty rose gold cubes with solid ceramic blocks in a color personally selected by Rihanna – Jungle Green.  Crafted from 18ct rose ethical gold certified Fairmined, the 9-piece capsule collection will be available with icy polished or diamond set gold cubes.  The collection will be revealed in April 2017 with the release of global advertising campaign.  Pieces will be available in June with pre-orders online at www.chopard.com/us/rihanna-loves-chopard and Chopard boutiques starting Friday, April 7^th.
