Autumn 2010 from VersaceMontblanc is inviting children and families around USA to join its efforts to spread words of peace and hope for the holiday season, raising funds for UNICEF in the process. When visiting one of the participating Montblanc boutiques, children will be asked to draw or write a special wish for a child in need on a uniquely designed silver wish ornament.

The wishes will be displayed on garlands in the boutiques for all to read and enjoy. Each ornament can be purchased for a $1 donation to UNICEF, with Montblanc matching the total dollar generated from this activity.

PR349-Radiomir Titanium 47mm Officine Panerai presents the Radiomir Titanium – 47 mm watch, a Special Edition of great historical value that represents the reissue of the legendary Radiomir watch.

Developed as a prototype in 1936 and produced starting from 1938, the Radiomir watch was the first professional scuba diving watch in history.

Worn by the commandos of the Italian Navy, this watch was the protagonist of remarkable exploits and paved the way for a new specialty in the watch-making field, in recent years becoming the star of international auctions featuring vintage models and making the name Officine Panerai known throughout the world.

Created in an edition of only 12 pieces, the new Radiomir watch is aimed at collectors, lovers of exclusivity and history enthusiasts. The black background of the dial underlines the highly-luminescent indexes and three hands (hours, minutes and small seconds). The cushion-shaped, 47 mm case has a thin round bezel and wire lugs. In contrast to the historical models, the lugs are not welded but rather removable thanks to an Officine Panerai patented system that makes it easy to replace the strap. The screw-down adjusting and winding crown has a truncated cone shape making the watch water-proof to a depth of up to 10 bar (100 meters).

The case in titanium – a metal lighter, more hypoallergenic and more resistant to corrosion than the stainless steel of the historical models – houses a highly exclusive, in-house movement: the OP XXVII calibre developed on a Minerva base. With the main-plate and the Maillechort bridges, this large calibre (16 ¾ lignes) has 18 jewels, a balance wheel (18,000 alternations/hour) with adjusting screws and a spring with Phillips terminal bend. The spring is bent by hand by skilled craftsmen in order to ensure the concentric unwinding of the spring itself, indispensable to its regularity and precision. Lastly, the sophisticated swan’s neck device permits micrometrical adjustment of the length of the spring.

Identified by the reference PAM00349, the new Radiomir watch also has a strap in alligator leather with a trapeze-shaped titanium buckle and will be sold exclusively at Officine Panerai Boutiques.

344-Luminor Chrono Mono 8 Days Pink Gold 44mm-P-C-HOfficine Panerai presents the new Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Days Pink Gold – 44 mm, a chronograph with a hand-wound movement, designed and developed at the Neuchâtel manufacture and produced in a single edition of 150 watches.

The new Luminor watch not only has an 8-days power reserve mechanical movement, but is also a technically accurate single push-piece chronograph, a challenge that only a few brands have taken on. This model has, in fact, a single push-piece at 8 o’clock for the hand start, stop and reset functions. It also features indication of the power reserve through a hand on the auxiliary dial at 6 o’clock.

The movement is a development of the P.2004 calibre; the first chronograph movement produced by Officine Panerai, and has a diameter of 13¾ lignes and three overlapping barrels allowing for extended power reserve. The chronograph function features the sophisticated column wheel and the vertical clutch which makes it possible to avoid uncertainties in the hand’s movement and realignment. The balance wheel with adjusting screws makes 28,800 alternations/hour and is protected by the Kif Parechoc® anti-shock device.

From an aesthetical viewpoint, the watch is characterized by the warm feel of the 44 mm case’s pink gold, a colour coupled with the dark brown of the dial. The “sandwich” dial, a further technical feature reaffirming the uniqueness of Officine Panerai, is identical to the one designed many years ago with the aim of lending superior ease of reading in all conditions. This is a structure in which the luminescent material (that also coats the hands) is placed between the two layers making up the dial, the top one perforated in correspondence with the numerals and indexes. In addition, the transparent case-back allows the prestigious in-house movement to be seen.

Identified by the reference PAM00344 and water-proof up to a depth of 100 meters, the Luminor 1950 Chrono Monopulsante 8 Days Pink Gold – 44 mm watch is supplied with an alligator leather strap closed with a pink gold buckle. The watch is presented in a box containing a second strap and a screwdriver to change over the strap itself. This is a simple and rapid procedure thanks to a special system for attaching the strap that characterizes the lugs of the watch.

(December 21, 2009 – Aspen, CO) – The snowy peaks of Aspen, one of the world’s most fashionable winter resorts, provided a dramatic backdrop for two days of electrifying polo at the Piaget Polo On The Snow, 10th Annual World Snow Polo Championship. The only snow polo tournament in North America, Piaget Polo On The Snow drew some of the world’s top players including Nacho Figueras, Nicolas Roldan, Alan Martinez, Juan Bollini and Kris Kampsen, as well as
polo patrons such as Chester Trent Lott, Marc Ganzi and Alan Meeker.

“We are thrilled to be a part this truly unique and prestigious event,” states Larry Boland, President of Piaget NA. “Worldclass polo, combined with the glamour and sophistication of Aspen makes this a perfect fit for Piaget.” More than 700 of Aspen’s best and brightest turned out to watch the action and enjoy the festivities, along with Hollywood stars such as Zac Ephron.

Six teams in total—Piaget, Audi, Bombay Sapphire, Land Rover, Crestview Genetics and L’Hostaria—competed on specially raised Colorado polo ponies, playing in beautiful Wagner Park right in the heart of Aspen. Piaget’s team, consisting of Nacho Figueras, Nicolas Roldan and Marc Ganzi, made it to the final match on Sunday to face off against the Audi team of Melissa Ganzi, Kris Kampsen and Juan Bollini.

In an intense match that had the crowd on their feet, Roldan scored two goals for Piaget and Ganzi scored one. It was not enough to keep Audi from claiming a 5-3 victory with Bollini scoring three goals and teammate Kampsen scoring twice. Juan Bollini’s superior play over the two-days resulted in a total of five goals and earned him the tournament’s MVP honor. He was awarded with a new titanium and stainless steel Piaget Polo FortyFive timepiece.
