Books4Kids Online Charity Auction

At Books4Kids Jamaica, we believe that taking the time to meet each child to give them their own book bag significantly increases their interest and enthusiasm for learning, and above all, shows them that they are important to us. With this simple gesture, we show that they matter, that going to school can be exciting and that we have faith in their academic abilities and their future. Even more importantly, equal access to the same books and materials helps to put all the children in the classroom on the same level footing.

It gives all the students – regardless of the challenges their families may be facing – first class educational materials. Our belief is that by “evening the playing field,” we help to make learning a positive experience for everyone and ultimately encourage increased attendance, particularly at rural schools.
