Building on its watchmaking heritage and the commitment of a visionary family, Baume & Mercier maintains this spirit where attention to every detail goes beyond the manufacture of watches. After almost two centuries of existence, the Swiss watchmaker has forged the image of a company whose name evokes absolute elegance and affordable luxury.

This is probably why its horological creations, that have always reflected the values of its rich heritage, go so perfectly with the special moments in life.

Since its founding, Baume & Mercier has made its pieces according to the principle of établissage, a traditional production method where components from the best suppliers made according to the plans provided by the brand are assembled in its workshops located in the Swiss Jura. An expert in its art, the house has contributed to the advancement of watchmaking science ever since it was founded.
Louis Victor Baume and Celestine are responsible for the introduction of the “Lépine” caliber in Switzerland, a type of construction that experts now consider the basis of fine contemporary movement.

Since 2002, the assembly operations have been brought together under a supervisory umbrella made up of watchmaking workshops.

Each watch is the result of a subtle combination of traditional manufacturing methods and latest generation production equipment, and is individually assembled, adjusted and carefully tested by craftsmen watchmakers, all dedicated to their art.
