Florence, who is currently midway through her 2016 world tour wearing a wardrobe of outfits from the latest runway collections by Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele, was interviewed in front of an invited audience by American fashion writer, editor and author Derek Blasberg.

The choice of Florence Welch as brand ambassador came naturally, as her personal style is in harmony with Gucci’s eccentric spirit, as envisioned by Creative Director, Alessandro Michele. Indeed, the two are longstanding friends and admire each other’s creative work. Florence Welch says, “When Alessandro and I first met, we bonded over our love of jewelry. I truly believe that what he is creating at Gucci today is magic, and I am so excited to be part of it.”

Florence wore the G-Timeless automatic timepiece, which features an eclectic mix of decorative bees, a heart and stars. The G-Timeless automatic combines the vibrant, striking creativity of Alessandro Michele with the tradition of Swiss fine watchmaking, and introduces the new motifs the designer is developing for the House to the world of Gucci horology. From the Gucci Jewelry collection, Florence Welch chose her favorite items from the Gucci Flora, Icon and Le Marché des Merveilles collections. These included a mix of rings in 18kt yellow and pink gold, each decorated with precious stones, diamonds, or motifs like the honeybee. The stacked rings and different metals gives a vintage allure in line with Florence’s eccentric style.

Derek Blasberg also wore a G-Timeless watch, a quartz model with a polished and brushed stainless steel case and matching bracelet, with a striking black dial featuring a 3-dimensional diamante pattern
